Ryu Jun Yeol Finally Breaks Silence Regarding ‘Transit Love’ Controversy With Han So Hee, Hyeri

Ryu Jun Yeol spoke out on his stance regarding the issue surrounding his past relationships.

During the press conference of his upcoming K-drama "The 8 Show," the actor, along with his co-stars Lee Yeol Eum, Park Hae Joon, Chun Woo Hee, Park Jung Min, Bae Sung Woo, Moon Jung Hee, and Joo Young Lee, along with director Han Jae Rim, answered the questions from the media about the anticipated series.

However, one of the questions asked of Ryu Jun Yeol was about his reaction to the previous controversy. The 37-year-old actor revealed his thoughts about the issue for the first time.

Ryu Jun Yeol, who maintained his silence at the height of the "transit love" controversy with Han So Hee and Hyeri, explained why he chose to remain quiet about the official statements released by the two actresses.

"In the midst of issues related to my personal life, various posts were posted on social media against my will at the time, so rather than responding to each and every one of them, I thought it would be best to remain silent and deal with the resulting criticism."

The actor added that the criticism made him reflect on himself, and that he saw this as an opportunity to contemplate on his actions.

At the time, both of their agencies shared that the two went to the country for different purposes: the "My Name" star was on vacation with friends, while Ryu Jun Yeol went on a photoshoot project.

However, dating rumors blew up after Ryu Jun Yeol's ex-girlfriend, Lee Hyeri, shared a cryptic post on Instagram, which others believe was pertained to the rumored relationship.

Amid the issue, Han So Hee confirmed that she was indeed dating Ryu Jun Yeol. She explained in a post how she and the actor met, pointing out that it was not a transit love.

In the wake of the scandal, Ryu Jun Yeol maintained his silence and was also called out by Han So Hee for keeping tight-lipped about the issue.

"I am also frustrated about the fact that one person involved in this matter is maintaining silence."
