Epik High, a popular hip-hop group, made fans both laugh and worry this week after posting a parody of the K-drama The Lovely Runner to promote their upcoming concert.
This drama, with Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok playing the leading roles, has become quite popular among viewers, promoting new content and culture waves.
The first group to respond to this drama with humor was Epik High, when they created their concert poster with Tablo and Tukutz cosplaying the original drama characters Ryu Sun Jae and Im Sol from the drama.
Many fans found this decision very funny. However, Tablo later informed his followers that he was initially distraught hearing about possible legal repercussions.
In his Instagram story, Tablo said, "to be honest, when this first came up I got a little scared we might get sued". However, to all the Epik High members' great relief, the parody was noticed by Byeon Woo Seok's company director, who shared the poster in his Instagram story, saying, "can you hear us? Byun Woo Suk" and tagged the actor in return.
After such a warm response, Tablo apologized for the poster and invited the director and Byeon Woo Seok to their concert. Tablo also added that he would be happy to send them a lightstick.
The parody made Epik High's fans even closer to the group, laughing at the exchange of responses on Instagram due to the parody they created.
