There has been a significant shift in pace as netizens have suddenly changed their stance on the issue regarding actor Kim Soo Hyun and the controversy that plagued him months ago.

Initially accused of having a relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor, Kim now finds growing support amid questions over the validity of the claims.

The scandal began in March after Kim Sae Ron's family and YouTube channel, Garo Sero Institute (Gaseyeon), claimed that Kim had been dating Sae Ron since 2016.

However, new reports seem to contradict this timeline, as Kim was allegedly seeing another actress, "A," from 2016 to 2019. This timetable is at odds with the Sae Ron family's account.

Further eroding the credibility of the accusations, a photograph previously used to support the claims was taken with an iPhone 11, a model released after Sae Ron turned 19.

Additionally, reports that the whistleblower had been assaulted in New Jersey were also found dubious, as story elements changed, and the New York Consulate noted the absence of any official report.

Amid these revelations, Kim's Disney+ series "Knock-Off" remains in limbo. Despite being a high-budget production, its release is pending legal clarity.

Since we decided to delay the release, there have been no new updates. We are still reviewing matters internally," said Choi Yeon Woo, Head of Local Content at Disney Korea.

Kim is now suing Gaseyeon's operators, as well as Sae Ron's family, for false accusations and other charges, claiming KRW 10 billion (approximately USD 8.7 million) in damages.

On the internet, many have flocked to Kim's side, wishing him to return to the screen after being cleared of the charges.

Meanwhile, his past work continues to gain international re-broadcasting, reflecting his enduring global appeal.

"Knock-Off's" release is still dependent on the court's ruling, with industry insiders speculating that it may be delayed until 2025.
