After its stellar high point of 24.6 percent last week, "You Who Came From The Stars" dropped slightly to 24.1 percent but that did not lose it first place. The drama about a man from the stars who falls for a female k-drama star is the clear-cut winner of its time slot.

In the most recent episodes, alien Do Min Joon, played by Kim Soo Hyun, begins to experience the joy of living on earth as he becomes more involved in the life of actress Chun Song Yi, played by Jun Ji Hyun. But that involvement also makes him more vulnerable. His desire to protect her and his use of his super powers almost results in his being exposed as an alien.

Still, they can't help but be drawn to each other. He's an alien who has lived as an emotional recluse. She's a woman alienated from real life by her fame. They're perfect for each other.

And the two actors have an easy chemistry.

The drama is not only cleverly written for all its frequent inside jokes on the k-drama industry and its celebrities but it's beautifully choreographed. Whether it's fluttering leaves as the alien spacecraft descends or the glowing lights of the Ferris wheel as Do Min Joon waits to hear how Chun Song Yi answers her proposal, the drama's images are a pleasure to look at.

Reaching second place in the ratings was the MBC drama "Miss Korea, starring Lee Yeon Hee and Lee Sun Kyun. In "Miss Korea," Lee Yeon Hee's makeover was in full progress. Beauty pageant star-maker Ma Ae Ri, played by Lee Mi Sook, has given pageant wannabe Lee Yeon Hee a new hairstyle and a tiara to place on top of it. The drama rated 7.4 percent in viewer ratings.

"Pretty Man," starring Jang Geun Suk and IU, has never managed to hold the public's attention despite its star cast and the popularity of the manga it was adapted from. For the last few weeks the drama has barely risen above 4 percent. In the 15th episode, Dokko Ma Te, played by Jang Geun Suk, finally discovered what true love was. After all the glamorous powerful women he has known, he realizes that he is in love with ordinary girl Kim Bo Tong, played by IU. But that did not stop them from breaking up. Nor did it improve the ratings, which only reached 4 percent. There's no doubt the couple will get together on the final episode but it's doubtful that their union will improve the ratings.
