SBS drama "One Warm Word" featured the novel "The Love of Cholera Generation."

On the 11th episode of SBS Monday/Tuesday drama "One Warm Word" broadcast on January 13th, Song Mi Kyung (played by Kim Ji Soo) was organizing her husband Yoo Jae Hak (played by Ji Jin Hee) and found the book that he wanted to give Na Eun Jin (played by Han Hye Jin) who he was having an affair with.

She said to Yoo Jae Hak who came back into the room whether he and Na Eun Jin had sex in the hotel and said, "What you gave me is animal like desires and not love. In this book, the woman meets her husband after she turned 70 and meets her first love as things clicked.  Are you waiting for me to die to be with her?" she shouted.  In the end, Song Mi Kyung said, "I'll stay out of your way" and looked at Yoo Jae Hak helplessly.

In the book, Yoo Jae Hak wrote, "Love doesn't have one color.  It comes in many colors in many forms.  Don't be burdened.  Even without involving a body, you can complete love." Song Mi Kyung saw this and felt that Yoo Jae Hak's feelings towards Na Eun Jin was sincerely.

Meanwhile, the novel that Kim Ji Soo saw and was upset by is by Nobel prize winner Garcia Marquez, "Love of the Cholera Generation" and is about one woman and two men in love, death, generational critisms and parody.  It was first published in 1985.
