On the episode of MBC Monday/Tuesday drama "Empress Ki" (script Jang Young Chul, Jung Kyung Soon, director Han Hee, Lee Sung Joon) broadcast on January 13th, Ha Ji Won and Ji Chang Wook attracted attention with a dreamy underwater kiss scene.
On this day, Ki Seung Nyang (played by Ha Ji Won) was trying to save Juk Ho (played by Song Kyung Chul) and was hurt as Dang Ki Se (played by Kim Jung Hyun) hid in the tub hiding from his eye. Seung Nyang couldn't breathe and Ta Whan kissed her himself as he did mouth to mouth to Seung Nyang. The kiss scene in the tub with red flower petals was a beautiful scene as the intensity captured the attention of viewers.
This underwater kiss scene reminded viewers of a scene in a commercial and despite a busy filming schedule, they had to empty an entire day and put in effort. The scenes outside the water were in the tub set of Ta Whan but the scene under water was in the pool for underwater filming.
A staff member said, "To give a different visual effect for viewers, we filmed the underwater kissing scene all day. As much as we paid attention, a beautiful scene camea bout and we're satisfied. As much as Ha Ji Won went through a lot, we're happy that a beautiful scene was completed."
