K-Drama Couple: Jun Ji Hyun And Choi Joon Hyuk

She may want Kim Soo Hyun to see her as a desirable woman in "You Who Came From The Stars," but in real life Jun Ji Hyun is happily married to non-celebrity banker Choi Joon Hyuk.

He may not be a celebrity but Choi Joon Hyuk looks like one. He's tall, attractive and wears clothes well. But it wasn't his looks that sealed the deal for her.  It was his boldness.

"One evening, he said we were going somewhere and told me to come with my passport," said the actress. "I followed him; we ended up at the airport, and we immediately left for Japan. In Japan, he asked whether I would marry him along with giving me a ring."

She said yes but then perhaps they were fated to marry. In true k-drama fashion, the couple has known each other since childhood.

"We grew up in the same neighborhood so we knew each other," she said. "But we only started a serious relationship after we were officially introduced through an acquaintance a few years ago."

Although he is not a celebrity, Choi has some well-known relatives. Choi is the grandson of hanbok designer Lee Young Hee, who opened the Lee Young Hee Korea Museum in New York City. He is the son of fashion designer Lee Jung Woo and the brother of Choi Joon Ho, a member of the k-pop group X-Large.

The couple married at Seoul's Shilla Hotel in 2012. She wore a glittering dress created by British designer Jenny Packham. They could not go on an immediate honeymoon because of her shooting schedule for the film "Berlin."

How does her husband feel about her kissing and enticing Kim Soo Hyun? There's no word on how he feels about this drama romance but he did make his feelings known when she kissed Kim Soo Hyun in the film "The Thieves."

"I liked the film's kiss scene with Kim Soo Hyun," she said. "However, my husband disliked it so I have to dislike it too."

But, she says, she works hard to make him feel better after he is upset by the idea of his wife kissing someone else.

Her filming schedule makes it difficult for them to see each other as often as they would like but they stay in touch by texting. When they do go out on a date, they like to go to the movies. Fans can assume he prefers movies in which she is not kissing someone else.
