Ha Ji Won Receives Praise For Sub-Zero Filming In “Empress Ki” BTS Photos

Ha Ji Won receives endless praise for her professionalism while filming for her drama "Empress Ki" in sub-zero temperature.

On the latest broadcast of the drama "Empress Ki", several scenes were filmed in the snowy valley, and main actress Ha Ji Won showed her determination by rushing into the cold water for one of her scenes.

Ha Ji Won's character Seung Nyang is seen diving into the cold river to look for her newborn child who fell from a cliff with a soldier who was following her around. Hoping that her child is still alive, Seung Nyang, who is still bloody from giving birth, deliriously looks for her son in the water. Adding to the overwhelming emotions of portraying a character who has just lost her baby, the river was in sub-zero temperature during filming.

Fortunately, the scene was taken only once, showing Ha Ji Won's talent as an actress despite the less than optimal filming conditions. She showed enormous concentration to do the scene well and carried out with her talented acting without making any mistakes.

"Empress Ki" airs every Mondays and Tuesdays, 10PM KST on MBC.
