‘1 Night 2 Days’ Members Struggle To Quit Smoking Cigarette
The members of "Happy Sunday - 1 Night 2 Days" went cold turkey on smoking cigarettes, and lost their minds. It was hard two days for the 1 Night 2 Days members. They cried, but they also gave the audiences and fans a big laughter.
On the most recent episode of the KBS 2 TV entertainment program "Happy Sunday - 1 Night 2 Days" which aired on March 9, 2014, the members, Cha Tae Hyun, Jung Joon Young, Kim Joo Hyuk, Defconn, and Kim Jong Min, went to Jeung Do, Shin Ahn, in Jun Nam for a trip commemorating their self made no smoking day. They named Jeung Do an island of no smoking, and they (inadvertently) submitted their packages of cigarettes to the staff members.
The trip was inspired by Kim Joo Hyuk, who decided to quit smoking cigarette in December of last year, and realized that his health has worsened because of his cigarette smoking habits. The "Happy Sunday - 1 Night 2 Days" producer Yoo Ho Jin told the members a week before going on a trip that they are not going to smoke for two days while they are on the trip. This was an important issue for the "Happy Sunday - 1 Night 2 Days" members, all of whom were cigarette smokers except Cha Tae Hyun. Producer Yoo Ho Jin said, "I hoped to bring a different perspective to smoking. It was very hard for the members to go cold turkey on cigarette smoking for the two days, and at times things got very serious. But I wanted to show the audience that quitting smoking is this hard, and wanted the "Happy Sunday - 1 Night 2 Days" members to have a chance to reconsider smoking." The members on this day's episode played games, and they were to go in the water on a cold winter day if they were caught smoking a cigarette. Kim Joon Ho got caught smoking a cigarette, and had to go under water on this day's episode, in addition to Jung Joon Young and Kim Jong Min, who had cigarettes with them hidden in their clothes.
