Fans Vote Lee Min Ho As The Number One Korean Actor In China

The Chinese fans have spoken! Lee Min Ho is named as the number one Korean actor in China, besting some of the most popular actors of his generation.

Chinese website Tudou held a poll that ranks the top male Korean actors who have gained massive popularity in China in 2013, and among 1.35 million respondents, 510,764 or 37% of the total gave their votes to "The Heirs" frontman, Lee Min Ho.

Following his lead is second placer Kim Soo Hyun with 469,948 or 33% of the votes, and Jang Geun Suk places third with 159,940 or 11% of the votes. Lee Jong Suk, Kim Woo Bin and Park Yoo Chun were also included in the poll.

Introducing the actor as the 'leader of Hallyu', the Chinese press stated, "While Lee Min Ho grabbed the fans' interest with his earlier dramas 'Boys Over Flowers' and 'City Hunter', he gained an immense following and became a sensation with his 2013 drama 'The Heirs'. His popularity led the Hallyu wave into China."

Meanwhile, Lee recently reached 20 million followers on his Weibo account, making him the most followed Korean actor in China.
