How much would you pay to meet Kim Soo Hyun? Rumors are circulating that some Chinese fans are willing to spend six-figure amounts just to meet and dine with the star of "You Who Came From The Stars."

An article in a Chinese weekly magazine said that small fan meetings with up to ten people can be arranged but may cost as much as $125,000 a person. And the article said that some people are willing to spend that much.

While this report has not been confirmed, it would not be the first time that private fan meetings for stars were arranged in China and for such large amounts of money. Popular Chinese actors such as Tony Leung and Andy Lau are also reported to earn between $150,000 and $200,000 a head for such meetings. And it's not unusual for international stars to earn money appearing at exclusive events.

Fans do pay to attend meetings. But if this rumor is true some fans may find it unfair that the more you spend the closer you can get to your favorite star.

It probably does not wind up being a much higher paycheck for the star as Kim Soo Hyun already earns about $750,000 for a single fan event in China. His co-star Jun Ji Hyun commands about a third of that at $250,000.

But then it has been a very profitable year for the young star. Altogether the actor's income this year is expected to be around $28 million.

While the actor's agency, Key East Entertainment, had no comments on the existence of such exclusive meetings, representatives did say that they arranged the actor's current tour because they got so many fan meeting requests.

"Following the popularity and positive responses of Kim Soo Hyun's dramas and movies in recent years, we received many proposals to hold a fans meeting locally and abroad. In gratitude for the love and support he gets from his fans, Kim Soo Hyun is embarking on a fan meet tour to engage with his supporters across Asia."

The actor, who is best known for appearing in the dramas "Dream High" and "The Moon Embracing the Sun," as well as the films "Secretly, Greatly" and "The Thieves," began his current fan meeting tour in Seoul. This week he finished fan meetings in Taiwan and Shanghai. He will soon head to Thailand, Beijing, Singapore, Japan and Indonesia. During the tour, Kim Soo Hyun will sing for his fans. The fan meetings also include special surprises and interactive games.
