The ratings for "Empress Ki" have fallen slightly since most of El Temur's villainous family has been dealt with, so it starts to seem less likely that the historical drama will reach 30 percent in the ratings. It is still number one in its time slot though and with only a few weeks to go, does not look likely to lose that spot.

This week, the 42nd episode of the drama, which stars Ha Ji Won, Joo Jin Mo and Ji Chang Wook, fell slightly to 25 percent. But the drama still managed to outpace the competition. Poor Seungnyang finds herself caught between Ta Hwan and Wang Yoo again as the emperor decides to wage war and Wang Yoo defies his orders. The emperor should have listened to Seungnyang when she tried to talk him out of waging war because five years of conflict weaken the country and threaten his sanity.

And the desire for revenge is revived in a new generation, with Prince Maha, who is really Seungnyang's son, believing that she is the person responsible for killing the empress who claimed to be his mother. Poor Seungnyang. Despite her best efforts to achieve peace, she meets challenge after challenge.

It's not any easier for Lee Bo Young in "God's Gift - 14 Days." The drama is a mystery within a mystery, not unlike one of those Russian dolls that reveal smaller dolls inside. The Monday-Tuesday night drama has a lot in common with the Wednesday-Thursday night drama "Three Days," in that it's all about trust, responsibility and the nature of evil. People the characters think are good do bad things. People the characters think are bad do good things. Who can you trust when people are not what they seem?

In "God's Gift - 14 Days," Jo Seung Woo starts out looking like a bad guy but he saves the day. Lee Bo Young's husband begins the drama as a good guy but he's not. Every time Lee Bo Young and Jo Seung Woo find out who the real murderer is and extend the life of her daughter Saet Byul, there's a darker secret and a bigger danger lurking in the shadows. At least Saet Byul's image is reappearing in the magical photo, so there is hope that the unlikely team is getting closer to solving the mystery.

The ratings for "God's Gift - 14 Days" also dropped slightly this week to 8.8 percent.

Meanwhile the KBS drama "Full Sun" has not budged from third place. The drama's ratings have dropped even further to 2.3 percent.
