"Inspiring Generation took a page from "Bridal Mask" this week and sacrificed an important character after a romantic scene that falsely promised a happy future. And although the ratings fell slightly from the previous episode the drama took first place.

"Inspiring Generation" fell slightly to 11.1 percent as hero Shin Jung Tae lost his love and started to exact his revenge on Hwang Bang.  Shin Jung Tae, played by Kim Hyun Joong, was about to be poisoned at his engagement party when Kim Oh Ryeon, played by Jin Se Yeon, drank the poison for him and saved his life. As she dies, she tells him that he has to win, whatever it takes. Viewers are looking forward to the drama's finale, which will hopefully see Shin Jung Tae achieve victory.

At least it already achieved victory in the rating.

"Three Days" remained in second place with ratings of 10.4 percent. This drama gets more interesting as it goes along, mostly because of Park Yoochun's subtle performance. As the plot continues to twist in unexpected ways, viewers can see deeper into the character that was pretty closed off to begin with. It's fitting that a secret service agent would be closed off and not reveal too much. He's also a character who has always known what he wanted to do, serve his country like his father has, and who was sure about his mission, to protect the president. A man with such a sure course in life might be enviable but such people often crumble when they begin to doubt their mission. When he learns the truth about the president's involvement in an incident that killed innocent civilians, his entire life starts to unravel. But it turns out there is more to the story and it renews his faith.

"Cunning Single Lady" rated a respectable 7.9 percent. Joo Sang Wook has stopped hating his ex and remembered why he loved her in the first place. No surprises there as the two characters were obviously meant to be together.  If any of this year's divorce dramas have one lesson, it's don't get married too early because you may not be mature enough to handle all the curve balls life throws at you. And while this may be a true lesson for real life couples, early marriages and divorces have made for some fun k-drama comedy.

This comedy managed to hold its own against two strong action thrillers with idol stars and that's saying a lot.
