Some k-drama actresses continue to take challenging roles and look glamorous even though they are just known as "mom" at home.

Although some k-drama actresses do take time off to spend with their babies, most eventually continue their careers.

Here are a few actress-moms who look great and can still land leading roles with attractive co-stars.

Kim Hee Sun, the star of the weekend drama "Wonderful Days," married businessman Park Ju Young in 2006.  She has a five-year-old daughter Park Yeon Ah.

"My daughter takes after her dad," said Kim Hee Sun. "It's satisfying to see them together and see that she looks just like him. If we have a second child, it would be great if it's a son who looks like me."

She took a few years off from acting and then returned to the small screen appearing in the 2012 drama "Faith The Great Doctor" with Lee Min Ho.

Han Chae Young was living in America with her Korean American husband but returned to Korea for the birth of their first child in the summer of 2012. Only weeks after her son was born in a Seoul hospital, the actress was working on the drama "Pretty Man" with co-star Jang Geun Suk. Known as Korea's Barbie for her perfect figure, Han Chae Young lost no time in reclaiming her original figure.

"I'm not the type that can easily stay still," she said. "I maintained my figure through exercise. Still, I had no idea I gained so much weight until I tried on my clothes. I decided to film the drama but did not fit in my clothes so I exercised more."

Lee Young Ae is known for her role "Dae Jang Geum." She and her husband, a Korean-American businessman, are the parents of three-year-old twins. She introduced her boy and girl twins to the public in the documentary "SBS Special Lee Young Ae's Supper."

"I became a mother a little bit later than most people," said the 43-year-old actress. "I stopped working to enjoy watching the children grow up."

She did not work between the 2005 film "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" and the 2012 film "Made in California."

Go So Young is still star material but she has chosen to stay home for the time being. The actress is the mother of two children with her husband Jang Dong Gun. Their first child is a boy and their second child, born earlier this year, is a girl. Although her husband continued to act, she has focused on raising their children.
