"X-Men: Days of Future Past" director Bryan Singer, age 48, is currently under scrutiny due to a new lawsuit that accuses him of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy back in 1998.

The suit was filed on Wednesday in Hawaii by accuser Michael Egan III, who alleges the infamous filmmaker abused him at an Encino, California, mansion where a lot of underage boys were said to be taken advantage of with the help of drugs and alcohol.

“The stories that I’ve heard of what went on at the estate are truly despicable,” said Jeff Herman, the accuser's lawyer, to  NY Daily News on Wednesday night.

Herman, who also represented the five young men who accused Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash for sexual abuse, suggested that this is proof that Hollywood has an issue with exploiting minors.

Reportedly, the Encino mansion is where Singer and Egan met and eventually had a hot-tub hookup.

Egan, who is now in his 30s, will be appearing at a Thursday press conference at the L.A. Four Seasons to address the suit.

According to the suit, the X-Men director sodomized Egan throughout the late 90s with promises of a role in one of his movies.

Between the ages of 15 and 16, Egan had numerous sexual encounters with Singer. When the accuser was 17, Singer supposedly flew him out to Hawaii several times for long vacations.

At the director's defense, attorney Marty Singer issued a statement implying that Egan's suit is a publicity stunt.

“The claims made against Bryan Singer are completely without merit,” the statement added. “We are very confident that Bryan will be vindicated in this absurd and defamatory lawsuit.”

Although the suit is not directly asking for money, it suggests the damage inflicted on Egan is worth $75,000.

This news is coming in the midst of Singer, who also directed the 1995 classic "The Usual Suspects," gearing up for the May 23rd theater release of "X-Men: Days of Future Past."
