Kap Dong" Targeting Women's Emotions
tvN's new Friday/Saturday drama "Kap Dong" is captivating women's attention.
This is possible because "Kap Dong" is a new type of mystery thriller in a new color. It's about a serial killer that comes back after seven years and more than the freaky visual has a tight plot, endless triggering of emotion to capture women's feelings. The acting transformation of Yoon Sang Hyun, Sung Dong Il and Lee Joon is also a component.
The second episode of "Kap Dong" that was broadcast on April 12th rated 2.1% on average with highest ratings at 2.6% and among female viewers between 10-40 years old, it rated 3%.
Producer Kang Hee Joon who manages "Kap Dong" said, "Of course there is the male viewer class and especially among female viewers, the great reactions are uplifting. We are lowering visual appeal more than a genre material and I think the great producing that targeted the viewers' imagination and emotions are well received."
Such trend is expected to continue. Yoon Sang Hyun, Sung Dong Il, and Lee Joon's acting was only the beginning. Detective Ha Moo Yeom who is filled with insanity puts everything on the line to catch Kap Dong and the conflict between Yan Chul Gon, the captain and Sung Dong Il has sparks flying around. More than this, there is a good looking barista that is friendly and Ryu Tae Oh that hides his psychopath tendencies as he fulfills his role to heighten tension.
The staff said that it plans to draw on the feelings of the protagonists in a detailed way instead of a dramatic or drastic scene and is showing a strong sense of ability to draw viewers in. Yoon Sang Hyun, Kim Min Jung, Sung Dong Il are hurt being and they show their feelings through the Kap Dong incident as they are touching emotions and adding amusement.
On the 3rd and 4th episodes to be aired on April 18th and 19th, "Kap Dong" will start telling the story of start of the serial murder. In the 2nd episode, Yoon Sang Hyun dies suddenly as it will be interesting to see what kind of whirlwind he gets to be in.
Meanwhile, "Kap Dong" is set in an urban city Il Tan and a serial murder that happens as it is a 20 episode mystery emotional investigative drama. It's centered on detective Ha Moo Yeom that says that Kap Dong is the suspect of the serial murders that happened 17 years ago as the complex stories between the individuals centered around Ha Moo Yeom will be drawn. It will be broadcast on Friday and Saturday at 8:40PM.
