In the next two weeks there's a whole new lineup of dramas to compete for first place in the ratings battle and to court the hearts of k-drama fans.

And often it's not about which drama will come in first but rather a question of which star will capture the fancy of the viewing public.

The first to start is "Big Man," starring Kang Ji Hwan, Daniel Choi, Lee Da Hee and Jung So Min. All of these stars have been in first-rate dramas. Kang Ji Hwan played Yoon Eun Hye's love interest in "Lie To Me." Daniel Choi was last seen in "School 2013." Lee Da hee was in "I Hear Your Voice" and "Secrets" last year. Jung So Min appeared in "Playful Kiss."

In this revenge drama, Kang Ji Hwan plays the lead role. He's Kim Ji Hyuk, a poor orphan who makes it on his own only to discover he's the secret son of a rich family. But that too is a lie and he sets out on a path for revenge.  "Big Man" begins April 28.

"Triangle" beginning on May 5 stars Lee Bum Soo, Kim Jaejoong and Im Siwan. Lee Bum Soo was last seen in "The Prime Minister and I." JYJ's Kim Jaejoong was last seen in "Time Slip Dr. Jin" and ZE:A's Im Siwan was last seen in "Expecting Romance."

None of those dramas earned great ratings but Kim Jaejoong has a loyal JYJ following and his tough new look in this drama may excite interest.

Kim Jaejoong gets first billing in this drama about three brothers separated when they were young. He plays Jang Dong Chul, who grew up on the streets and is now the boss of a crime syndicate.

Lee Jong Suk headlines the last competing drama "Dr. Stranger," beginning May 5. He plays Park Hoon, the defector genius doctor from North Korea. Lee Jong Suk starred in last year's big hit "I Hear Your Voice" along with Lee Bo Young. "Dr. Stranger" also stars Park Hae Jin who became popular through the drama "You Who Came From The Stars," Jin Se Yeon, who appeared in "Inspiring Generation" and Kang So Ra, who appeared in "Ugly Alert."

So, it may not be a toss up between a revenge drama, a medical drama or a family drama, but rather a contest between those three stars.

Which drama will you be watching? And which star are you looking forward to seeing? Let us know.
