Who Will Win The Baeksang Awards?
The 50th Baeksang Awards are coming up and some of your favorite male actors have been nominated in the male rookie category.
They are Kim Soo Hyun for "Secretly Greatly," Lee Joon for "Rough Play," Kim Woo Bin for "Friend 2," Im Si Wan for "the Attorney," and Yeo Jin Goo for "Hwayi."
It's not the only award nomination for Kim Soo Hyun, who may be a rookie when it comes to film roles. The much-loved actor was also nominated for his latest drama role.
He's a contender in the Best Actor category his portrayal of the love-struck alien Do Min Joon in "You Who Came From The Stars." Competing with him for that honor are Yoo Ah In" for "Secret Love Affair," Lee Jong Suk for "I Hear Your Voice," Jo Jae Hyun for Jeong Do Jeon" and Joo Won for "Good Doctor."
Competing in the best actress category are Go Ara for "Reply 1994," Kim Ji Soo for "One Warm Word," Lee Bo Young for "I Hear Your Voice," Kim Hye Su for "The Queen of the Office" and Jun Ji Hyun for "You Who Came From The Stars."
There's also a rookie award category for television. Up for that award are Kim Sung Gyun, B1A4's Baro for his great performance in "God's Gift - 14 Days," Park Seo Jun, Jung Woo and Choi Jin Hyuk. Female rookie contenders are Kyung Soo Jin, Tony G;s Dohee, Baek Jin Hee, Son Yeo Eun and Han Groo.
The best drama contenders include "Good Doctor," "I Hear Your Voice," "Secret Love Affair," "You Who Came From The Stars" and "Reply 1994."
The films up for an award this year include "The Face Reader," "The Terror Live," "The Attorney," "Snowpiercer" and "Wish." "The Attorney" was nominated for seven film categories, which ties it with the film "Wish."
The best film actor contenders are Seol Kyung Goo, Son Hyun Joo, Song Kang Ho, Jung Woo Sung and Ha Jung Woo. The Best Actress film contenders are Kim Hee Ae, Moon Jung Hee, Shim Eun Kyung, Eom Ji Won and Jeon Do Yeon.
Do you think "You Who Came From The Stars" will claim all the television prizes at the Baeksang Awards? It was nominated for four awards, which is the same number as "I Hear Your Voice" and "Secret Love Affair" earned. "Reply 1994 has five nominations.
The awards ceremony takes place on May 27 at the Kyung Hee University Grand Peace Palace.
