No June Wedding For Bae Yong Joon

It has only been a few months since the last time Hallyu star Bae Yong Joon denied that he was getting married. This winter his fans learned he was dating a non-celebrity and learned about the possibility of an April wedding in a Japanese publication.
Nikkan Sports News in Japan first reported details of the couple's relationship on Dec. 23, 2013. It made the news both because he was a star and because it was the actor's first official relationship in nine years.
KeyEast, the agency that represents Bae Yong Joon, and in which he is a major shareholder, confirmed that the actor was indeed dating. KeyEast confirmed that the 41-year-old star had dated Koo So Hee, the 27-year-old second-eldest daughter of Koo Ja Kyun, vice-chairman of the green-energy company LSIS, since the fall of 2013. But they denied the wedding rumors, saying that the Japanese publication had not called to confirm any details with them.
Now new wedding rumors have surfaced and this time the wedding is supposed to take place in June on Jeju Island. When Bae Yong Joon, accompanied by his agency's artist Kim Hyun Joong traveled to Jeju Island on April 22, the Japanese media reported that he also met his fiancée there. The Japanese media claimed that it was really a wedding planning trip and that the couple would marry in June.
KeyEast recently told OSEN that the rumors were not true.
"Bae Yong Joon did go to Jeju Island with Kim Hyun Joong around that time to congratulate him on the successful completion of the drama ‘Inspiring Generation.' But it is not true that they met Koo So Hee. It was just Bae Yong Joon, Kim Hyun Joong and a few staff members on the trip."
His agency denied all reports of a June wedding.
"The couple is happily dating," said a KeyEast representative. "But they have no current plans for marriage."
Bae Yong Joon and Koo So Hee met at a dinner party for a mutual friend. In November they attended a friend's wedding together in Japan after which they were spotted dining and shopping. By December the Japanese media had uncovered her identity.
If Bae Yong Joon wanted to keep his relationship a secret, he might not have taken his girlfriend out in Japan where he is a recognizable mega star. He is so popular there due to his appearance in "Winter Sonata," that he has a nickname. Japanese fans know him as Yonsama.
Bae Yong Joon previously dated director Lee Sa Gang. They separated in 2005 citing personal reasons.
