X Japan News 2014: Worldwide Best Album Release Date Revealed, Will Mark 25th Year Anniversary Since 1989 Debut!

Last month Japanese heavy metal band X Japan announced their live performance to be held at Madison Square Garden on October 11, their first since their last world tour in 2009 and 2011. Then last Thursday, May 8, Barks News reported that X Japan will finally release their first ever worldwide best album, The World ~ X Japan Hatsu no Zensekai Best ~ on June 17.

The best album will commemorate their twenty-fifth anniversary since their major debut with CBS/Sony in 1989. All of their major singles, including "Rusty Nail" and the hit ballads "Tears" and "Forever Love" will be released in remastered versions and even a live version of "Without You" which was written for their dearest member HIDE, will be included in the upcoming album release.

It is also reported that the first-press limited edition of X Japan's newest album will include a World Tour Trailer DVD featuring exclusive footage from the 2009-2011 world tour. In May 21 an exclusive content from the CD titled "X JAPAN WORLD BEST" will be released in iTunes in 111 countries in preparation for the release of the newest album.

All of the members gave their messages of excitement for their upcoming performance in Madison Square Garden later this year. Sugizo, the guitarist/violinist who is currently busy with Luna Sea's upcoming national tour and fellow guitarist Pata, as well as vocalist Toshi, are looking forward to see everyone again. Heath revealed that performing in MSG has been his longtime dream since he started his music career as a bassist. As for pianist and drummer Yoshiki, he told fans that his current Yoshiki Classical World Tour will definitely not hinder him from performing at MSG, and he is really looking forward to be with X Japan again and see their fans.
