Agent Carter TV Series Updates: Howard Stark, And The Howling Commandos Join The Show As Release Date Confirmed! Will It Air Alongside Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2?
Get ready Marvel fans, the Agent Carter TV series will get some familiar faces joining the show and a release date has been confirmed. Will Agent Carter air alongside Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2? Well let's find out!
Marvel revealed its latest TV project for ABC, Agent Carter and it stars Hayley Atwell reprising the role of Captain America's former sweet heart, Peggy Carter. Agent Carter will be set in the 1940's of the Marvel universe as the show explores Pegg Carter's journey after the events of Captain America: The First Avenger.
Marvel also revealed an official poster logo and synopsis for Agent Carter, but something new came up for the show.
CBR recently reported that Iron Man/Tony Stark's father Howard Stark, and the Howling Commandos will join the TV series. Howard Stark in the show will likely play the sarcastic flirt/genius inventor as he provides Peggy Carter with latest high tech arsenal the 40's has to offer. Dominic Cooper who played Howard Stark in the first Captain America movie and in the Marvel One-shot of Agent Carter expressed his interest in reprising his character to the series.
The Howling Commandos will also join the band, but so far only Dum Dum Dugan and Gabe Jones are hinted to join the show. Dum Dum Dugan (Neal McDonough) was the muscle of group while Gabe Jones (Derek Luke) acted as the linguist and interpreter. Other characters that are said to be included in the show are Betsy Ross, and the Falsworth siblings; Brian and Jacqueline Falsworth.
Agent Carter will have 13-episodes as ABC ordered the series last week, and is stated to air between the 2014 finale and 2015 premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2. So we will likely see both shows side-by-side once Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns from its hiatus.
