Nick Diaz News: Elder Diaz Brother To Fight Anderson Silva For The Right Price? Retired UFC Welterweight Not Fighting For Less Than $500,000!

Nick Diaz news features the former UFC welterweight's agreement to fight Anderson Silva, but for the "right price" as he claims he will not be facing  "The Spider" for less than $500,000.

The 30-year old Stockton, California native has been retired from mixed martial arts competition after losing to former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre at UFC 158 in March 2013.

Nick Diaz spoke to MMA Fighting to shed light on the recent turn of events surrounding his MMA career and the possibilities that come with it.

"I never considered anything other than to renegotiate my contract or fight Johny Hendricks," Diaz answered. "All I said was, What am I getting paid? And he said, Let me check your contract. And the last text I got from him was what I would be fighting for."

Just a few days ago, former middleweight champion Anderson Silva spoke through manager Ed Soares about an early 2015 return to the UFC. Soares discussed "The Spider's" next possible opponents, which included Michael Bisping, Cung Le, and Nick Diaz.

"Nick Diaz has said he's wanted to fight him before," Soares said in a separate interview with Ariel Helwani at his show The MMA Hour. "Nick Diaz wanted to box Roy Jones Jr. You could argue that Nick Diaz and Anderson probably have some of the best boxing in MMA, so we'll see what happens."

While Nick Diaz and Anderson Silva have yet to finalize an agreement, and which weight class this fight might happen at, the former welterweight contender emphasized on the fact that he is still retired. He reiterated that it is a pre-requisite for the UFC to renegotiate his contract.

"I'm retired. Completely retired," Diaz reiterated. "Unless the UFC wants to renegotiate for something I'm happy with or I'm going to be fighting for the world title, which is obviously going to be for something I'm happy with because I'll make a ton of money."

Nick Diaz however, named his price, should he agree to fight Anderson Silva or anyone else that UFC intends to put in from of him.

"I'm not considering even for a second fighting any of those guys for less than $500,000," Diaz said. "There's no way."
