Katharine Mcphee Latest News: Less Than A Month After Filing For Divorce From Husband Nick Cokas, ‘American Idol’ Alum Flaunts Bikini Bod In Mexico

Katharine Mcphee is all over the news for the past month since filing for divorce from husband Nick Cokas. According to US Weekly, the former "American Idol" participant looks "incredible in a bathing suit on Saturday, May 31." Reportedly, the singer, 30, went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, "where she relaxed and soaked in the sun while displaying her toned and fit body. McPhee rocked a copper-colored bikini, which she wore with Clubmaster sunglasses."

Less than a month ago, Katharine Mcphee filed for divorce from husband Nick Cokas, that is seven months after she was photographed in a fling scandal with her former Smash director, Michael Morris.

"After six years of marriage, and having been separated for the past year, Katharine McPhee has filed for a dissolution of marriage from Nick Cokas. The two have an amicable relationship and will remain friends. They ask that people respect their privacy during this time," Mcphee's representative confirms to Us Weekly in a statement.

According to US Weekly, McPhee, was caught in the biggest scandal of her career back in October 2013 when she was seen kissing Morris in L.A. several months after the cancellation of their NBC show.

Back in January 2013, McPhee spoke to Lucky magazine and admitted she wasn't yet ready to start a family with her husband.

"I once thought that by now I'd have lots of children, but actually I'm really enjoying being able to go from point A to point B and the only worry I have is have my dogs been walked," Mcphee said.

Report says that Mcphee had been secretly separated from Cokas months before the photos emerged and was mortified by the incident, according to friends.

On the other hand, Morris and Mary McCormack have been married for a decade and share three young daughters together.

Morris and McCormack have since reportedly reconciled, and this past spring, McPhee and Cokas were apparently working on their marriage, and were seen walking their dogs together and smiling, People reported.

According to People, a source close to McPhee says no outside parties ultimately played a role in the split.

"It was just time. They'd grown apart and weren't right for each other anymore," the source said.
