Chae Rim To Marry Chinese Star

It's another case of reel-life to real-life k-drama romance only this time the drama was filmed in China. K-drama actress Chae Rim has made wedding plans with her former co-star Chinese actor Gao Ziqi. The actors who met while playing a married couple on a CCTV drama have announced that they will marry in mid-October. The date has not yet been decided.

According to her agency, Sidus HQ, the couple's parents already met to discuss the wedding arrangements.

It has only been a few months since the actors went public with their relationship. They admitted to their relationship in March, saying they had already been dating for a few months. The couple planned to publicize their relationship on their anniversary but reporters saw them together long before that and it prompted a public statement. Rather than waste time on denials, they decided to admit they were seeing each other.

At the time Gao Ziqi made a statement to Star News.

"Even though our nationalities, mother tongues and habits differ, we found that we feel comfortable when we are together,"said the actor. "Thank you for your celebrations and we will strive to do our best for each other."

At that time the actress also shared her happiness on her Weibo.

"The spring day that I've been dreaming of has come," she wrote. "I hope that it will be a spring day full of warm sunshine for you too."

Since then the actors have been seen together on casual dates and walking the red carpet.

Chae Rim, who was last seen on the Korean small screen in "Oh My Lady," was previously married to singer Lee Seung Hwan, who was 14 years her senior. She married Lee Seung Hwan in 2003 and they divorced less than three years later.

Chae Rim and Gao Ziqi are closer in age. She is 35 and the Chinese star is 33.

Chae Rim debuted in 1994 and since appeared in "Mother's Flag," "Shy Lovers," "All About Eve," "Jump," "Dalja's Spring" and "Currently Dating."  In "Oh My Lady," she played a 35-year-old woman who becomes the manager of a star. Siwon of Super Junior played the star her character managed in the drama.

Gao Ziqi is a very popular actor in China. In the last few years he has appeared in the dramas "Flowers in Fog," "Tai Ping Gong Zhu Mi Shi" and "New My Fair Princess."
