Originally, the Minions movie 2015 trailer should be released before the launch of the movie date on Dec. 19, 2014. However, fans may have to wait for it longer as Universal Pictures decided to move the Minions movie release date to July 10, 2015.

From the article on Movieinsider.com,   the 2015 spin-off for the popular movie franchise will be titled "Despicable Me Minions." The upcoming movie focuses on the lovable Minions who evolved from yellow single-celled organisms to beings who will serve and help the most ambitious villains.

Furthermore, the storyline posted on the site reads:

"After their previous masters, T-Rex and Dracula, are destroyed, they decide to isolate themselves and start a new life in Antarctica. Due to their lack of master, Kevin and two other Minions set out to find a new one. They find themselves at a villain convention center where they compete for the right to be henchmen for Scarlet Overkill, a stylish and ambitious villain determined to dominate the world and be the first female super villain."

According to Pastemagazine.com, the Minions movie 2015 release date will be placed between the release of Independence Day 2 on July 3 and Zack Snyder's Batman vs. Superman film on July 17.

From the source Screenrant.com,  Universal Pictures has done some reshuffling of its release schedule. After reorganizing the schedules, it ended to shift the Minions movie - a spinoff for the Despicable Me franchise on July 2015, from the 2014 Winter Holiday timeframe. With this,  Despicable Me Minions release date is delayed six months.

The new Minions movie will definitely be a prequel to the Despicable Me franchise. The title "Despicable Me spin-off, Minions" will follow the history of Gru's helpers, the Minions. Steve Carell is still Gru and the added star, Sandra Bullock and Jon Hamm will play as a married super-villain team, Scarlett and Herb Overkill.

The Despicable Me 2 which was released this summer earned $360 million dollars in the U.S. alone, making it the second highest grossing film of 2013. And for worldwide, the franchise movie has made over 1.3 billion dollars with only two films.
