Ji Hyun Woo Is Excited About His Drama Comeback Through “Trot Lovers”

Making his comeback after twenty-one months of active military duty, actor Ji Hyun Woo expressed his excitement about his new project "Trot Lovers."

During the press conference on June 18 at the Grand Ambassador Seoul Hotel, Ji Hyun Woo said, "I'm happy to be working on a drama again after such a long time."

He added, "I feel good that I was cast in a drama that many people would find enjoyable. I will give my best during the production to show everyone a good character."

Ji Hyun Woo portrays the character Jang Jun Hyun, a former top musician who underwent depression. Despite having the talent, looks, and fame that other people yearn for, Jang Jun Hyun is a cynic who has come to dislike trot; however, he will eventually meet Choi Chun Hee (Jung Eun Ji) who will make him fall in love with music again.

In other news, Ji Hyun Woo refused to answer questions about his ex-girlfriend Yoo In Na, stating, "I will not answer questions as a sign of respect towards the other party."

The couple met through his previous drama "Queen In Hyun's Man," but confirmed their break up shortly after his discharge from the army.

"Trot Lovers" will premiere on June 23.
