The Croods 2 Release Date Set For November 3, 2017; Film Currently Ongoing In Dreamworks Animation; Upcoming Sequel To Continue Relationship Between Guy And Eep

According to Coming Soon, there will be The Croods 2 and DreamWorks Animation has started developing this next sequel. 

The release of the first movie was March 2013 and it earned $386.6 million worldwide (ComingSoon.net confirmed it). It was released by 20th Century Fox. Domestically, The Croods earned $144 million and $242.6 million for overseas.

Chris Sanders and Kirk DeMicco wrote and directed the film and they are still on board to do the same duties on the next sequel.

The voice casts are still the same including Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke and Cloris Leachman.

The first installment of 'The Croods', according to Movie Web, revolves on the world's first prehistoric road trip of cavemen family, setting out to find a new home in the shadow of their neighbors' untimely passing. 

The protective father Grug, always set rules for survival that he has learned. He has a teenage daughter Eep, who is a rebel and questions why the family lives in the dark. One night, Eep sees light and she finds the Homosapiens Guy who is smart and who knows how to create  fire. He tells Eep that their world will end. 

When their cave collapses, the first person that Eep thinks who can help them is Guy. However, his stubborn father, Grug, does not accept the change of rules and still wants to find another cave to protect his family.

The first film ends with the new adventure of the family with Guy. The Croods 2, will feature the continuation of the relationship between Guy and Eep, and Eep's father Grug.

From the source, it was confirmed that The Croods 2 will be released on November 3, 2017.

Madagascar 4 and Puss In Boots 2 have also set their respective release dates.
