Despite the undying speculations about the comeback of Steve Perry in Journey and taking out Arnel Pineda from the band, the legendary band is still rocking the arena. Lately, they rocked Ottawa!

From Ottawa Sun, writer Aedan Helmer said that "You can take Journey out of the arena, but you can't take the arena out of Journey".

After Steve Perry left the band, Journey keeps the sporting attitude. With the remaining members long-serving axeman Neal Schon, keyboardist Jonathan Cain, bassist Ross Valory and drummer Deen Castronovo, they've work out to keep the band and showed few signs of slowing down with singer Arnel Pineda now handling lead vocal duties.

The current new lead vox Pineda hand-plucked from a Journey tribute band back in 2007 and successfully emulated Perry's iconic tenor.

Perry left the band with Be Good To Yourself, released in 1986 Raised on Radio album that led the band into first extended hiatus in the midst of a mammoth tour.

Despite the absence of Perry, Journey survived as a band and continue touring with each new road excursion consistently ranking among the top tours of the year.

During BlueFest

Massive crowd turned out for Friday's Bluesfest on July 4, and some fans were ready to lap it up, no matter whose pipes are put front and center.

Pineda showed boundless energy at Bluefest as he bounced across the stage and he played with the slick harmony-rich chorus of "Any Way You Want It". He also performed well on a few fan-favourites plucked from Journey's extensive back catalogue of radio rockers, with Stone in Love and Open Arms from 1981's Escape, and he impressed the crowd with his version of 1978 single "Lights".
