Will the mix between fantasy and romance succeed?
On the episode of KBS2 "High School King: Love On" (script Lee Jae Yeon, director Sung Joon Hae, lee Eun Mi) broadcast on July 11st, the veil of a fantasy genre was revealed to viewers.
This is a growth drama in which an angel tried to rescue a high school male student as it features the conflicts between passionate young students. As the title suggests, the fantasy growth novel that these actors and actresses act out take the foundation of being a bildungsroman novel and add an element of "fantasy."
On this episode, in 2016, Shin Woo Hyun (played by Nam Woo Hyun) becomes a college student and shows that he had been a high school student for the past two years. His history and the first meeting with the angel Lee Seul Bi (played by Kim Sae Ron) were also shown on screen on this first episode.
Meanwhile, "High School King" is a romantic comedy about a high school student who joins a large corporation, carrying the adventures of stepping into the adult world. Seo In Guk, Lee Ha Na, and Lee Soo Hyuk's love triangle is projected to be hot topic of discussion.
