Did you miss the Sweet Home Alabama star?

Well, Reese Witherspoon is back!

Us Magazine said that the Legally Blonde star played the role of former heroin addict Cheryl Stayed for her latest movie 'Wild'.

Cheryl strayed is known as American novelist, memoirist, essayist, and author of bestselling book 'Wild'.

The film is based on Strayed's New York Times bestselling book of the same name. The story is actually about her real-life trek along the Pacific Crest Trail.

Strayed suffered a period of grief with her mother's death, failed relationship, and issue of her drug addiction, that made her start journey to help cope with all those problems. The director of the movie is Jean-Marc Vallee.

In the first scenes of the trailer, Witherspoon (playing the character of Cheryl Strayed) is quoting Emily Dickinson and curing her bruised feet and wounded from walking along the 1,100 mile trail. During her journey she gets dirty. And since she still hasn't recovered on heartaches from her ex-boyfriend, she's phoning him. She also has sex with random men, does drugs, and even bonds with a fox. 

The official statement of Witherspoon about this movie "What if all those things I did were the things that got me here?" (source US Magazine). 

According to Variety, Wild is expected for an awards season on December 5 release.
