Miley Cyrus is the next celebrity to fall victim to a death hoax.

Scammers reportedly used a Miley Cyrus death hoax to make money off of those reading the story about the singer's fake overdose, according to Starpulse.

A viral photo reportedly spread across Facebook with the caption, "[SHOCKING] Miley Cyrus Found Dead In Her Los Angeles Home! Country Singer Miley Cyrus found overdosed this afternoon in her Los Angeles home." When users clicked on the photo, they were greeted by a fake site designed to look like Facebook, but with no actual story about her death, according to The Epoch Times.

Despite the shock that the singer's fans experienced, Miley Cyrus is reportedly amused by the death hoax and has yet to refute it.

"She is aware of the death hoax and thought it was actually pretty funny. By not responding, she thinks it is that much more of a joke because people are continuing to believe it," a source for HollywoodLife stated.

Miley fans can sigh a breath of relief because the 21-year-old singer is most definitely alive.

The former Disney star posted a topless photo of herself in the desert on her Instagram account yesterday. Cyrus posted other selfies on her social media account throughout the day as well, according to Gossip Center

Miley Cyrus will soon be returning to her Bangerz World Tour, which will continue on August 1 in Uniondale, New York. Before she resumes her tour, Cyrus is "just laying low and hanging out with her new dog and just relaxing," a HollywoodLife source stated.
