“The Divine Move” starring Jung Woo Sung, Lee Bum Soo, and “Fated to Love You” star Choi Jin Hyuk opened in theaters throughout North America, this past weekend.

Choi Jin Hyuk has one of his first major film roles in “The Divine Move” the GO hustling gangster Sun Soo. he role is a departure from the sweet yet slightly detached characters he has portrayed over the past year in the popular Korean dramas “Emergency Couple” and “The Heirs.”

Choi Jin Hyuk delivers a captivating performance as Sun Soo and is featured in one of the best scenes of “The Divine Move.” Viewers are treated to a visually stunning scene as Sun Soo engages in a showdown against Jung Woo Sung’s Tae Seok.

While “The Heirs” is considered a teen drama, the show has helped to ignite the film careers of many of its male stars. In 2014, Kim Woo Bin, Kang Ha Neul, Choi Jin Hyuk, and Lee Min Ho will each have starring roles in major Korean movies.

Of “The Heirs” stars, Kang Ha Neul has the most major film roles under his belt. Kang Ha Neul led the cast of the recent horror film “Mourning Grave.”

“Mourning Grave” was featured in the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan), which took place from July 17 through July 27. PiFan is responsible for the launch of many avante garde and daring Korean films.

“Mourning Grave” is a horror film which takes the premise of an ordinary person who sees ghosts which Gong Hyo Jin’s Tae Gong Shil introduced in “Master’s Sun” to a terrifying degree of reality.

Kang Ha Neul is In Su, a high school student whose family has a history of exorcists. In Su is haunted by apparitions, a majority of which are young women who met an untimely death at the hands of a mysterious killer known as The Mask.

While it is a horror film, there is an adorable love line thanks to a friendly ghost portrayed by actress Kim So Eun. Fans who fell in love with Kim So Eun as the naive Cha Ga Eul in “Boys Over Flowers” will find her equally endearing in portrayal of a wayward ghost. The chemistry between Kang Ha Neul and Kim So Eun makes “Mourning Grave” worth watching.

Kim Woo Bin starred in the 2013 crime drama “Friend 2:The Great Legacy,” the sequel to the hit 2001 movie “Friend.” As Han Sung Hoon, Kim Woo Bin transitioned from his “School 2013” and “The Heirs” image of the quintessential high school bully, to embrace a role that has the potential to continue into blockbuster films.

Kim Woo Bin stars in two upcoming releases, “The Technicians” and “Twenty.” “The Technicians” is a heist film, in which Kim Woo Bin will portray Ji Hyeok, a renowned safe cracker.

He is joined by “To The Beautiful You” and “Secretly Greatly” star Lee Hyun Woo, who lends his innocent flower boy image to the role of a computer hacker. Rounding out the main cast is actress Jo Yoon Hee, who last appeared in the 2013 K-Dramas “Scandal” and “Nine.”

Kim Woo Bin is joined by his “The Heirs” co-star Kang Ha Neul for the romantic film “Twenty.” “Twenty” follows three young men, in their quest for love. 2PM’s Junho, who starred in the 2013 hit “Cold Eyes” is included in the cast, along with actress Jung Joo Yeon.

One of the most anticipated films of 2014 stars “The Heirs” leading actor, Lee Min Ho. Although, Lee Min Ho has held numerous starring roles in K-Drama, Kim Jong Dae in “Gangnam Blues” will be of his first major film roles.

‘Gangnam Blues” is set in 1970s Seoul, a time period that was rife with corruption and the beginnings of the rapid industrialization that defines modern day Gangnam. “Gangnam Blues” is a film noir, which explores the socio-political implications of urbanization in Seoul and the role that organized crime had in this process.

Lee Min Ho established his competency as an action star in the 2011 K-Drama, “City Hunter.” “Gangnam Blues” will provide an opportunity for the actor to translate the skills he developed during “City Hunter” to the silver screen.
