Jessie J's 'Bang Bang' Now Number 1 On iTunes! Singer Scores A Hit In Various Music Charts; Talks About How Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande Got Involved In The Song & New Album

Jessie J's "Bang Bang" single skyrocketed to number 1 on iTunes in the United States, as he talked about how collaboration with Nikki Minaj and Ariana Grande went down.

According to UnrealityTV, Jessie J's "Bang Bang" has just been released for a couple of hours, but without much promotion, has managed to fill the top spot of iTunes and bumping Meghan Trainor's "All About The Bass" to second spot.

If "Bang Bang" manages to stay on top spot long enough, it will give Jessie J her first number one song in the United States.

The single did not just crack the US iTunes charts. MTV UK reported that the "Price Tag" singer also scored big time in the Billboard Trending 140 and Yahoo! UK said that the girl power-themed song is also number one in 16 other countries.

Jessie J's "Bang Bang" was written to be performed solo but according to the "Domino" singer, Ariana Grande heard the song and said she's interested to become part of it. The same goes for Nicki [Minaj].

"It started off with myself. Ariana Grande heard the track and said she wanted to be involved - I couldn't say no. I heard through the grapevine that Nicki Minaj had heard the track and wanted to be on it," Jessie told Capital FM.

Jessie J's "Bang Bang" topping various music charts is a good sign for the artist's career. MTV UK noted that the "Wild" singers sophomore album failed to make some buzz and chart-topping singles when it was released. But since the British singer already have a new hit single on her hands, a hit album is a no-brainer anymore. A third album is on its way, as Jessie J has posted on her Twitter account:

"LISTENING TO ALBUM 3 RIGHT THE WAY THROUGH FOR THE FIRST TIME. I CANT WAIT FOR YOU ALL TO HEAR IT! Woooooo!"

Jessie J's "Bang Bang" is now available for purchase in the United States while fans from the United Kingdom need to wait until September 28 for it to drop to their country.
