Mass Effect 4 hype has increased after BioWare has given a teaser of the game during their time onstage at E3 2014 and ME4 is about to reach a new level of hype since fans have claimed that Protheans are about to make a comeback on the much anticipated game.

In the Mass Effect Universe, the Protheans race is seen as aliens of high statures. With Mass Effect 4 currently in development, a buzz has been going about Protheans making a return in this highly anticipated fourth sequel.

As much as the fans would love to see this alien race ruling the Mass Effect Universe, it seems unlikely for it to happen. The source of the buzz actually came from the conceptual prototype image. Most gamers know that prototypes are often discarded and will never evolve further into development.

Considering that Mass Effect 4 is already half-passed production, there seems to be no window of opportunity for the Protheans to make its way into the game.
