Snow White And The Hunstman 2 Movie News: Snow White and The Huntsman 2 is officially cutting off the whole Snow White angle. Which means that Kristen Stewart will not be in the sequel.

This is directly opposite to what the actress thought would happen if ever there would be a sequel/prequel to her successful movie. She said in an interview with Indiewire," "Oh, it's gonna be f--- amazing. No, I'm so excited about it, it's crazy."

She was also asked then about what the story of the sequel will be and she said it wasn't for her to talk about. "I'm not allowed. The other day I said that there was a strong possibility that we're going to make a sequel, and that's very true, but everyone was like, 'Whoa, stop talking about it.' So no, I'm totally not allowed to talk about it," the actress said.

Instead, the follow-up movie will focus on Chris Hemsworth's huntsman. Back when Universal was filming the original Snow White and the Huntsman, actor Chris Hemsworth was relatively unknown. But things have changed since Thor and Avengers came out, and the actor's stardom has skyrocketed. Plus, it also helped that Snow White and the Huntsman earned $400 million with only a $170 million budget.

So now the story will revolve exclusively on the Huntsman, and his back story that was touched a little bit on Snow White and the Huntsman.

To recap, the huntsman has a tragic past that involves a murdered wife, whose killers might have been aligned with the evil queen Raveena, played by Charlize Theron. In the last movie we left her trapped inside her own magic mirror, and in the new movie she will be out and dangerously about.

Another big development in Snow White and the Huntsman 2 is that it has gotten a fantastic director on board. Frank Darabont, who directed Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and The Walking Dead will be directing. According to The Wrap, he beat out other directors such as Andy Muschiette (Mama) and Gavin O'Connor (Warrior).

Darabont also penned the newest version of The Huntsman script, which was previously drafted by Darabont by Craig Mazin (The Hangover Part 3, Identity Thief) and Evan Spiliotopoulos (Brett Ratner's Hercules). The Huntsman will be opening to the world on April 22, 2016, according to Universal.
