Misty Copeland ballet star has been selected by Under Armour for their latest commercial. For quite a long time now, Misty Copeland ballet fans have been waiting for the 1st commercial of their idol, since Misty Copeland ballet signed with the company back in January.

Taking a look at the 60-second advertisement, it looks like the amazingly beautiful and talented American Ballet Theater soloist's video was worth the long wait.

The commercial actually starts with Misty Copeland ballet balancing on pointe while another young woman was heard reading a rejection letter. As the camera pans over Misty Copeland ballet's body, the letter reader talks about the reasons why the applicant was not able to make the cut, such as, "You have the wrong body for ballet."

However, Misty Copeland ballet disproves this statement and spends majority of the video's 2nd half gracefully dancing her way across the stage. This was her means of showing precisely how far from the truth that statement made by the rejection letter was.

This new Misty Copeland ballet video commercial is actually significant for so many reasons. Misty Copeland ballet was part of the company's major marketing shift, since the brand has an image that has been quite traditionally masculine. The Misty Copeland ballet advertisement was released together with the brand's new site, I Will What I Want, which, in turn, "celebrates the will to find inner strength and to follow no one."

Gilda Squire, who has actually not heard of Misty Copeland ballet, only decided right then and there that she was going to be the one to guide the aspiring ballerina. Squire wanted to do this, not only because she wanted to help the young woman with her career in ballet, but also because she wanted to tell the world about the beauty and the challenges associated with ballet. She said, "I saw her as the real black swan. I had to get her story out there."
