Daniel Radcliffe Girlfriend: ‘What If’ Actor Is In Love With His Best Friend? Has Parents As Role Models! Says It’s ‘Worth The Risk!’

With his new romantic comedy movie nearing its release, questions about Daniel Radcliffe's girlfriend couldn't be ignored.

In 'What If,' the British star falls hopelessly in love with his best friend and he admitted that he knows exactly how Wallace feels.

"I'm going out with my best friend at the moment," the 25-year-old actor told People. "And that's, I think, the way it should be."

He is currently dating his 'Kill Your Darlings' co-star Erin Darke. Daniel Radcliffe's girlfriend only became the best friend that he wanted her to be only after they officially started going out.

He does believe that lovers should be the closest friends as well as romantically involved.

It looks like the 'Harry Potter' alum has his parents to thank for this ideology. Alan and Marcia Radcliffe's friendship preceded their romantic relationship.

"My mom and dad were best friends before they started dating, and now they've been married for 30-something years," the 'Woman In Black' proudly revealed about his parents. "So, I think it is a very natural thing. If you can get to a point where you're dating or married to somebody you consider your best friend, that's what will make it work." 

However he is well aware that should the relationship end, he would be left with one less friend. The Broadway actor wasn't worried much though.

 "But love's pretty good," Radcliffe said. "So it's worth the risk."

In 'What If,' Radcliffe's character, Wallace gets stuck in the friendzone because Chantry (Zoe Kazan) already has a boyfriend. They decide to become close friends but when their real feelings start to emerge, things become complicated.

Radcliffe and Kazan are joined by 'Girls' Adam Driver, 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager's' Megan Park, and Rafe Spall.
