The "Dracula Untold" trailer with the subtitle of "Reign of Blood" puts Luke Evans of "The Hobbit" fame on the spotlight, taking on the titular role as "Vlad the Impaler. Here, he portrays both the human and monster side of the first vampire, who started out as a hero but was forced to turn to darkness as a means of accomplishing a greater good.

The 13th century Transylvannian ruler, according to Dread Central, did it to save his family and people from mighty invaders. "Dracula Untold" trailer opens with a view of an impending war, followed by scenes depicting a troubled hero, and a glimpse of a vast army, as they steadily make their way towards Vlad's kingdom.

The atmospheric setting, which was both foreboding and romantic, has an air of melancholy to it. However, the overwhelming dread that shrouded it was unique, specifically in the parts where he sought the help of the evil one in the distant mountains.

But the highlight of the "Dracula Untold" trailer was the scenes that explained the origin of the dark power that changed the hero into a monster. According to USA Today, John Murdy, Creative Director of Universal Hollywood Studios, the film focuses on the vampire's roots. Thus, the plot concentrates on the tale explaining his existence based on historical data, which contrasts popular stories about the infamous bloodsucker.

The movie is the latest addition to Halloween Horror Nights of Universal Studios, joining the firm's Orlando and Hollywood list of mazes. According to USA Today, Horror Nights is the largest Halloween event in the US.

Now celebrating its 24th year, it continues to grow. This year, "Dracula Untold" is the latest addition to the event's mazes. It joins other well-known franchises such as "The Walking Dead," "The Purge: Anarchy" and "Alien vs. Predators."
