Adele and Iggy Azelea made history as they both landed on fifth Place for the most weeks spent by a female artist in a lead role!

Iggy Azalea's 'Fancy' tops the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks and this has made the Australian recording artist land on the same spot where Adele's 'Rolling In The Deep' is standing right now. Both hit makers have surpassed Katy Perry's 'California Girls' and Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way'.

The record is still topped by Rihanna's 'We Found Love', Lorde's 'Royals', Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe', and Kesha's 'Tik Tok', but Iggy is undeniably reigning in the music industry as she joins The Beatles as the only acts to rank at numbers one and two simultaneously with their first two Hot 100 Hits!

The artist has long been transparent about her achievements. In fact, earlier this year, she shared:

"It's kind of scary too because I think 'oh God, I hope this isn't the pinnacle of my musical career, now I have to live up to a number one.

"Especially since this is my first album and I kind of thought I would need to make a few more albums and let people get to know me more before I had any chance of that," she added.

Iggy was just an inch close to beating Beyonce's title in the biggest category on the exclusive Billboard poll, and also dominated the Favorite No. 1 Billboard 200 Album and Breakout Star.

Together with Charli XCK, she took the Best Music Video award, and also hailed as the Best Televised Performance along with Ariana Grande during the Billboard Music Awards. Can you believe that she has won over Bruno Mars at the Super Bowl?

In other news, Iggy is also seen as the possible replacement of Katy Perry in Clueless musical adaptation shall the 'Roar' singer's schedule remain jam-packed. Its Director Amy Heckerling revealed that she loves how Iggy paid tribute to Clueless in her 'Fancy' video, hence she shared:

"It looked like they had more money for the video than I had for the movie,"

"But I was extremely flattered and I thought she was amazing."

Will it be a trio on the 5th spot of Hot 100 soon? Or will Adele and Iggy Azelea own it? Sound off in the comments section below!
