Johnny Depp Movies 2014: Actor Will Star In New Kevin Smith Movie With Daughter Lily Rose; Plot Involves Two Teenage Girl Superheroes Fighting Ancient Evil Forces

Kevin Smith is one of the most versatile figures in Hollywood. He not only directs movies, he also produces them, writes  screenplays for them, as well as stars in them. He also creates comic books, and does podcasts.

Given his wide range of interests and talents, it's no wonder he's picked up a few well known friends here and there, and collaborates with them for his many projects. Most recently, the director of Clerks collaborated with another versatile personality, Johnny Depp for his newest project, a horror film called Tusk. But their working relationship does not stop there. According to The Hollywood Reporter, another one of Johnny Depp movies this 2014 is the Kevin Smith-directed movie called Yoga Hosers.

Not just that, Depp's very own daughter Lily Rose Depp, will be starring in the movie as well. And to further keep things in the family, Kevin Smith's own daughter, Quinn will be part of the movie too!

The director has said that this new movie of his, is actually a spin-off of Tusk. In fact, most of the characters to appear in Tusk will also be seen in Yoga Hosers, and this includes Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Jennifer Schwalbach and Michael Parks. This new Johnny Depp movie for 2014 revolves around two teenagers named Colleen Collette, and Colleen McKenzie (played by Depp's and Smith's daughters) who both work at a convenience store, and who both are into yoga. The two girls then employ the help of a "legendary man-hunter from Montreal named Guy Lapointe"  (the character to be played by Depp, in order to help them when supernatural beings threaten to prevent them from attending a much-awaited Grade 12 party.

Other actors that can be expected to star in this Johnny Depp movie are Natasha Lyonne, Austin Butler, Tyler Posey, Adam Brody, and Jason Mewes.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kevin Smith things of Yoga Hosers as his first try at a "comic book movie. "People always ask me, 'Are you every going to make a comic book movie? This is it -- but instead of yet another dude saving the day, our antiheroes are the most feared and formidable creatures man has ever encountered: two 15-year-old girls."

While Tusk is set to be released this September, there's no word yet when Yoga Hosers's release date is. Stay tuned.
