After being linked to 'Fifty Shades Of Gray' star Dakota Johnson, 'Sherlock' was seen dining out with a mysterious blonde woman in Los Angeles last month. Fans quickly speculated that this woman might just be Benedict Cumberbatch's girlfriend.

The British actor and his rumored secret girlfriend reportedly went to dinner with friends after the San Diego Comic Con where Cumberbatch promoted 'Penguins Of Madagascar.' They proceeded to leave together later on that night.

According to a source from ShowBizSpy, the man is very much smitten with his new lady love.

"He's been seeing the lady in question for the past few months," the source adds, "She isn't in the public eye, and has quite a serious career, so [he] is keen to remain anonymous for as long as possible."

However, this very leggy blonde woman isn't the only girl shaking the Cumberb*tches (Cumberbatch fans) worlds.

A blog known for celebrity blind item reveals has recently claimed that the 37-year-old actor dated someone more famous than the mysterious girl in Los Angeles.

Although Celebitchy notes that the blog isn't a very reliable source for blind items and news, the website does think that the "Downton Abbey actress" referred to in the Crazy Days And Nights post could be Laura Carmichael and that the "foreign born almost A list mostly television actor who every woman seems to love" sounds like UK native Cumberbatch.

The post also alludes to Carmichael dumping the British star because "he went all Fifty Shades Of Grey on her." Carmichael, on the other hand was more of a "turn off the lights and close your eyes kind of lover."

With the 'Hobbit' actor's recent history with 'Fifty Shades' Anastacia Steele, this blind items seems to be that much more controversial.

Either way, reports still claim that the actor is currently very much 'smitten' with his new secret girlfriend-whether its Carmichael, Johnson, or the mystery woman in LA.

Page Six previously reported that another 'Downton Abbey' cast was also busy looking for Benedict Cumberbatch's girlfriend.

Maureen Dowd wouldn't say who the British star was dating but she did advise all the Cumberb*tches to move on.
