Anne Hathaway Instagram: Les Miserables Star Joins Instagram For ALS Ice Bucket Challenge; Watch Her Two Cute Videos Here!

Now here's a good reason to make a social media account if we ever did see one -- we now have an Anne Hathaway Instagram! The actress joined the popular social media site on Thursday (August 21) so that she can post her own ALS ice bucket challege video after being nominated by her friend, Giancarlo Giametti, who is the honorary president of the Valentino fashion house. The official Anne Hathaway Instagram name is @annejhathaway

In one of her first two acts on the Anne Hathaway Instagram. The 31-year old Academy award winner captioned her first video "Thank you @privategg for nominating me for the #alsicebucketchallenge! Happy to donate too!! This is part one where I nominate #matthewmcconaughey #jessicachastain@chastainiac #kristenstewart and @joanrivers #joanrivers"

 "Part two!! Please be sure to donate to this great cause and thank you!! www.als.net #alsicebucketchallenge" is how the second post on the official Anne Hathaway Instagram was captioned.

The ALS ice bucket challenge was created to raise awareness for ALS or amyothrophic lateral sceloris, or commonly called Lou Gehrig's disease is a moto-neuron disease. It is characterized by muscle spasticity, muscular atrophy, difficulty in breathing, speaking and swallowing. The challenge has helped raise awareness for the disease and has contributed in donations for its charitable foundation.

Note that the actress nominated Jessica Chastain and Matthew McConaighey, her co-stars in the upcoming film Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan. It's one of the most highly anticipated movies coming up, whose plotlines and story have been veiled in much secrecy. Reportedly, it will be about time travel, space travel, and wormholes, with McConaugheys' character scouring the outer edges of space for an inhabitable planet, after the earth becomes unliveable because of global warming.

Theres' still 24 hours left for her Interstellar co-stars to take up the ALS ice bucket challenge, Kristen Stewart took the challenge already with fellow actors Nicholas Hoult and Scott Fahrendorf.

At the end of her video, Stewart says, "In good faith you must believe this was all done with dirty bath water. Please be considerate of California water conservation."
