Jared Leto has allowed "The Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon to trim down his infamous beard.

The "Dallas Buyers Club" has been strutting his long beard for quite some time now so allowing the host to trim it even just a little came as a shock to his fans.

On Wednesday night's episode, Leto admitted that his beard has been a source of confusion among other people who thought he was Jesus Christ, according to News.co.au.

"Well you know it's interesting because I have been asked lately to do some resurrections lately. And they're incredibly exhausting. A sermon on the mount every so often is OK," he said.

Before getting down to business, Leto asked Fallon if he's ever trimmed another person's hair before, Just Jared reported.

"Have you ever done this before? I'm getting nervous already. Since the Oscars I've been growing this, I'm very attached to it," he said.

After successfully trimming his beard, Leto couldn't contain his excitement over his new look. "You trimmed my bush pretty good."

Talking about his awards at the last Academy Awards show, Leto said, "It was incredible, really special, obviously," he said.

Meanwhile, transgender actress Alexis Arquette recently sat down with Jackie Beat, where she admitted to having sexual intercourse with Leto, the Huffington Post noted.

"I had sex with Jared Leto back when I was presenting as a male. And yes, it's not only massive; it's like a Praetorian Guard's helmet," she said.

As of late, Leto has not yet responded to Arquette's claims and it is uncertain whether or not he will confirm or deny the actress' most controversial revelations. After all, the 42-year-old actor is currently busy promoting his band 30 Seconds to Mars tour.

"It's incredible. Now, we've toured more than any other band in the history of rock n' roll. We've toured so much around the world and now we're touring in America."
