It was revealed on the 21st through a representative from agency SidusHQ that Jang Hyuk will be casted for the movie 'Flu.' 'Flu' is Kim Sung Soo's latest project since nine years ago when his 'Please Teach Me English' was released in 2003. The film is among many, 'City of the Rising Sun,' 'Beat,' and 'The Warrior,' following a new trend of Korean movies.

'Flu' is a story of the fatal events caused by an infectious flu virus spreading, through which the main male and female characters find the host of the virus and attempt to stop the infection. Jang Hyuk's agency, SidusHQ, will be making the film with investment by CJ E&M.

In initial stages, the main role for 'Flu' was a tossup between Jo In Sung and Jang Hyuk. However, with Jo In Sung deciding to star in Park Kwang Hyun's 'Martial Arts of the Fist,' Jang Hyuk was chosen for the role in 'Flu.' This is Jang Hyuk's first movie since last year's, 'Client.'

Jang Hyuk received the movie offer after leaving a lasting impression on audience viewers through the SBS drama, 'Tree with Deep Roots.' He decided to take part in 'Flu' due to his deep trust in Director Kim Sung Soo.

The female heroin for 'Flu' is still being decided among top star actresses. After finalizing casting, there are plans to start filming in April.
