Jung Jin Young, Jang Geun Suk 32 Years Later In ‘Love Rain’
The new KBS2 TV Monday-Tuesday drama 'Love Rain' is receiving great interest from around the world through the casting of Korean Wave stars Jang Geun Suk and Girls' Generation's Yoona.
Jung Jin Young is taking on the role of Seo Jun (Jang Geun Suk)'s father as well as Professor Seo In Ha. Jang Geun Suk is not only playing Seo Jun, but also a 70s version of Seo In Ha, with Jung Jin Young as Seo In Ha 32 years later.
Jung Jin Young will also portray a deep romance with his first love, Yoon Hee, in which they reunite 32 years later in a fateful meeting. Although Jung Jin Young has acquired much praise for his various projects and superb acting skills in the past, even receiving the nickname 'god of acting,' this is the first time he will engage in a full-on melodrama.
Director Yoon Suk Ho commented, "The soft charisma and truth in his eyes spur a new emotion to Jung Jin Young that we have never seen compared to his usual strong character roles. Through 'Love Rain' we will shine an image of Jung Jin Young we never knew."
Moreover, 'Love Rain' is a drama that presents both the pure love of the 70s opposed to the trendy love ways of today's society in a transcending love story. The first episode will air on March 26th.
