What's going on with CM Punk nowadays? Is he coming back to the WWE or will he try his hand at MMA? Here are the latest news on the "CM Punk Update" front.

It seems that CM Punk won't be returning at WWE soon and the wrestling company is now removing him from the record books ala Chris Benoit.

WWE has been erasing CM Punk from their history books as they continue to edit him off of television and even posters he was on.

Recently, fans saw that WWE stuck a post-it note on top of Punk's face on the Royal Rumble 2014 poster. The poster was seen backstage when WWE was filming the Ultimate Warrior documentary. It was a bit childish for WWE to do that, though pretty humorous at the same time as well. WWE may not have blatantly buried Punk on TV, but these subliminal jabs are an indication that they are still angry about how he left the company.

The newest and possibly most childish thing they have done to erase Punk from memory is edit him off of the poster of last year's SummerSlam PPV. Punk was on the SummerSlam 2013 poster along with other wrestlers riding on a roller-coaster. Punk wrestled on that card as he faced Brock Lesnar which was the best match from 2013. If people want to watch that PPV on the WWE Network, they can still watch the match but Punk's face won't be on the thumbnail poster.

After all, this might just be a gimmick. It is worth noting that Punk has always been the black sheep of the WWE and this might be a foreshadowing of his storyline once he returns to the industry.

Meanwhile, Punk Is also exploring the world of MMA. According to an interview with Ariel Helwani in MMA Fighting, CM Punk discussed WWE and his interest in fighting MMA.

People not familiar to CM Punk should know that CM Punk has been studying and training in different martial arts over the years and he really does know how to fight.

Rener Gracie even commented that he has the skills to "knock some fools out and choke some dudes" in an MMA fight.

What do you think? Is the CM Punk quitting WWE just a storyline or is it real? Would you watch a CM Punk MMA fight? Sound off in the comments section!
