Jay Z Solange Fight: Beyonce's Dad Claims Elevator Brawl Is a Publicity Stunt To 'Sell More Tickets' Plus Hints At Destiny's Child Reunion!

The infamous fight between Beyonce's husband, rapper and record producer Jay Z and her sister Solange Knowles has become viral after it was captured on video and uploaded on the Internet. Much has been made about what the conflict is about, and the official statement from those involved have not specifically revealed what the real cause of the fight was.

But now someone close to the family is speaking up about the Jay Z Solage fight, and it is none other than Beyonce's father, Matthew Knowles. Papa Knowles reveals that the whole thing was a gimmick in order to generate publicity and get people interested in seeing the Jay Z and Beyonce concert tour.

Matthew was a guest at the Roula and Ryan show, a Houston based radio show and podcast. He calls the whole incident, a "Jedi mind trick" to sell tour tickets.

He adds,  "[They needed something to] ignite that tour. It's called a Jedi mind trick. A Jedi mind trick fools you a lot of the time. [Snaps fingers] All I know is everyone is talking about it. Ticket sales went up,Solange's album sales went up 200 percent..." Beyonce's dad reveals.

It will be recalled that the famous Jay Z and Solange elevator brawl happened last May at the elevator of the Standard Hotel in New York after the Met Gala. The elevator video captured Solage hitting and kicking Jay Z.

The official released statement from those involved said that both Jay Z and Solange accept responsibility for their fault in the fight.

"They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family. But is this all a publicity stunt as Matthew Knowles says? In any case, Beyonce's dad also revealed the exciting news that as Destiny's Child's manager, he can share that a new album and reunion might be in the works soon.
