It's Spring! Korea has fantastic cherry blossom sightseeing spots. People in Korea take spring time as an opportunity to have a special outing with their family.

At the same time, these places are photographers' heaven. if you are interested in photography, this would be a great chance to create your extra ordinary collection.

You'll have to visit when flower is in full-blossom. This timing varies, however, usually it falls between late March and early or mid April.

Also the weather at this time is awesome.

1. Bomun Complex, Gyeongju
Gyeongju city is completely covered by cherry blossom in April. Especially Bomun complex is the best around Bomun lake. This place' the only flaw is that it's too famous thus crowded. So you better hurry in the morning and finish your sightseeing by noon. Then you might be free from heavy traffic around the place.

Banwol Castle near Cheomseongdae has another great cherry blossom scene. If you go there at the proper time, you'll see the beautiful yellow Yuchae flower blooming along with cherry blossoms.

2. Hanrim Park, Jeju Island
If you plan to visit Jeju, Hanrim Park is a must-visit. Hanrim Park is a tropical botanical garden (Note that Jeju is the only place that you can see tropical plants in South Korea). The park has over 2,000 kinds of subtropical plants including Jeju's unique ones. You can cherry blossom along wit Yuchae flower field. Jeju Island is the original place in Korea that is famous for Yuchae flower.

3. SimniBeotkkot-gil (Kilometers of Cherry Blossom Road), Hadong
About 40-kilometer road is covered by the flower following Sumjin river up to the point where SsangGye temple is. The place boasts kilometers long cherry flower tunnel.

The sight from the opposite side than following the road is also very great with less traffic.

4. Du-mo Village, Nam-Hae / Jangpyoeng Soryuji, Nam-Hae
Nam-Hae (means South Sea) is called Treasure Island of Korea. You will find unique flower scenes along with the shore.

Jangpyoeng Soryuji has triple flower blossoms - Tulips, Yuchae, and Cherry. You can see tulips through out April.

5. Sunjinri-castle, Sacheon
If you're fed up with crowd, this is the place for you. Hundred years old cherry trees open their blossom in white over the sea. There will be Wa-Ryong Cultural Festival matching the blooming time.
