Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber headed off to Canada to have a peaceful and romantic vacation away from their busy schedules. However, there was an unfortunate accident between Bieber's ATV and a minivan of the paparazzi in Stratford on the 29th of August. Their lawyer has just confirmed that Selena Gomez was actually with Justin Bieber when the accident happened.
Many fans are trying to figure out whether or not his rumored on-and-off girlfriend Selena Gomez will stand by his side as he will be facing charges of assault and dangerous driving.
Bieber's lawyer, Brian H. Greenspan, informed People, "Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's peaceful retreat in Stratford this weekend was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of paparazzi. This has regrettably resulted in charges of dangerous driving and assault. Mr. Bieber and Ms. Gomez have fully cooperated in the police investigation. We are hopeful that this matter will be quickly resolved."
Another lawyer of Bieber's, Roy Black, told HollywoodLife.com in an exclusive interview, "The latest matter will not affect his Miami case since it is closed and he is not on probation. Justin, like many celebrities, is continually harassed by the paparazzi. Their privacy is shredded and these incidents can become dangerous. While the public is not particularly sympathetic, they must realize how difficult these cameramen make their lives. So, I am not surprised there is a conflict. It happens quite often and as long as the paparazzi are highly paid for their photographs, they will continue. This is one reason I would not agree to probation."
Shortly after the news about the accident and arrest broke out, Bieber was quick to post a cute picture of himself and Selena Gomez hugging each other, looking absolutely in love. Perhaps this was Bieber's attempt to veer off the attention of his fans to something that was more positive.
