Great news for all Marvel fans! While waiting for the next Marvel superhero movie to hit the big screen, you can get your fix from TV. ABC just released a brand new Marvel Agents of Shield season 2 trailer and it is quite action packed, and a great indicator of an exciting season ahead.
ABC's superhero series was created for TV by Joss Whedon, and it is based on the Marvel Comics organization called Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division or S.H.I.E.L.D. It is an agency that is dedicated to safekeeping the world from any supernatural threat, and it works together with various superheroes to do its job. It follows the character Phil Coulson, who is played by Clark Gregg, in a reprisal of his movie role.
The 30 second long Marvel Agents of Shield Season 2 trailer features the voice over of Agent Phil Coulson, warning that "the enemy has the advantage, but we must fight on for those we've lost so the sacrifices they made were not made in vain." He adds, that Marvel Agents of SHIELD must now "live in the shadows, to protect the innocent, to save lives."
There's a lot of action packed sequences such as chases and explosions, and the story line of the series is expected to lead us all into what will happen in the movie Avengers: Age of Ultron. After all, the first season reflected many of the effects of the events that took place in the movie, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier"
A bunch of brand new characters are set to debut in Marvel Agents of SHIELD season 2, including Lucy Lawless as Isabelle Hartley, Adrianne Palicki as Mockingbird, and Nick Blood as Lance Hunter.
Marvel Agents of SHIELD season 2 will show its pilot episode on September 23, at 9 p.m. on ABC. In the meantime, watch the trailer here:
